It’s nice to talk about an ideal world where we’re all judged on our work performance, but we have to live in the world that exists. And in that reality, coworkers don’t appreciate others’ long leaves of absence, bosses don’t reward bare minimum performance, and your appearance affects how others perceive you. It doesn’t really matter if such perceptions are “right” or “fair”.
What can you do when your good isn’t good enough
And all that you touch tumbles down
Cos my best intentions keep making a mess of things
I just want to fix it somehow
But how many times will it take
Or how many times will it take for me
To get it right
Ironically, I’m blogging about an article lamenting the death of the written word. I love anything handwritten because it just takes that much more thought and effort to craft a note/card/letter by hand than shooting off an email or a blog post. Unfortunately, anything that does not have the ability to reach thousands is considered archaic in the world we live in.
Despite being picky about the design, fussy about the colour and having a relatively tight budget (they are exorbitant nowadays), it was love at first sight with one particular pair.
I will walk into fullerton 3.5inches taller 
A) Grad attire shopping is tedious. No matter what you end up wearing or not wearing.
B) Idiots are difficult to work with. I know, I know, I need to be able to deal with all kinds of people but morons are just a pain.
C) Never expect people to change.
